Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) is a global aviation corporation harnessed by the synergy of six businesses: DAE Capital, DAE Engineering, DAE Services, DAE Manufacturing, DAE Airports and DAE Flight Academy. Launched in February 2006, DAE aims to use its unique business mix to offer innovative capabilities across the full aviation spectrum.

DAE will grow through a series of phased developments and eventually be based at Al Maktoum International at Dubai World Central, the new 140 square kilometre airport and logistics city being constructed at Jebel Ali, Dubai.

Within DAE are six synergistic business units spanning a full range of aviation and aerospace capabilities, including:
  • DAE Capital – offering tailored aircraft leasing solutions and expert financial consulting services;
  • DAE Engineering - providing world-class nose-to-tail aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) operations, comprehensive engine maintenance, repair and services as well as aircraft completions and conversions;
  • DAE Services - an emerging airport solutions provider offering technology-based optimisation products and services to airlines and airport operators on a global basis;
  • DAE Airports – an airport services company that will improve the air travel experience by enhancing the operational performance of airport systems and infrastructure;
  • DAE Manufacturing – will provide synergies with DAE Engineering and deliver cutting-edge research and development, manufacturing and assembly.
  • DAE Flight Academy - a pioneering institution that is using an accelerated, airline-focused flight training regime to create a pool of skilled personnel for the region’s emergent airline industry.

DAE’s shareholders include the Investment Corporation of Dubai, Dubai International Capital, DIFC Investments LLC, EMAAR, ISTITHMAR World, Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO), AMLAK Finance.

Acting CEO: George Mushahwar joined DAE as acting CEO in July 2008. Previously, Mushahwar was previously Chief Operating Officer at TECOM Investments responsible for managing its investments portfolio in addition to his operating responsibilities ranging from policy setting, legislative and regulatory aspects to portfolio management. This role encompassed Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City, Knowledge Village, DuBiotech, Dubai Outsource Zone, International Media Production Zone, the Dubai Studio City development and other companies in the portfolio.
